Call to Artists
The Call to Artists is a free monthly program, where the use of the space provided is typically $200.00 plus tax per month, the Galleria donates the rent for the duration of the exhibition.
The dates of the exhibition vary but generally apply to each artist from the middle of a month through to the middle of the following month. For Example January 15th – February 14th. This is because the Call to Artists is built around Fort Pierce's famed ArtWalk which occurs on the 3rd Friday of each month, from about 5pm-8pm, and allows local art lovers and tourists alike to explore Ft. Pierce's impressive art culture.
There are some stipulations to being chosen for this exhibition, and these are made to ensure that the artist has taken full advantage of marketing opportunities and outreach, for the growth of the artists and maximum exposure.
Chosen artists are required to hold an Exhibit on ArtWalk night, from 5pm to 8pm.
Sale on any of the work will incur a 10% commission, payable to the Galleria of Pierce Harbor, not including tax.
The artist will be required to share promotional material that the Galleria of Pierce Harbor provides highlighting the artist. This will include promotional materials provided prior to the night of the ArtWalk exhibition. Additionally, the artist will be required to share the exhibition/work being shown at the Galleria on social media throughout the time their work is exhibited (this is the full month).·
Artists must “friend” and “follow” the Galleria of Pierce Harbor on Facebook.
It is the Artist’s responsibility to price the works correctly and clearly. The Galleria is not responsible for mispriced or undersold works.
The Artist shall insure the work; the Galleria is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property and shall not be held responsible for the safekeeping of consigned works.
In return the Galleria of Pierce Harbor agrees to promote the artist in the same way. Additionally, the Galleria will generously donate simple refreshments of water and lemonade & a snack tray during the Exhibit (If you wish to procure other refreshments/hor d'oeuvres for guests, you may contact one of our fine dining establishments for catering (no outside food/drink is allowed).
NOTE: Your preferred date must be at least 30-days out from the date you apply. This will ensure we have enough time to contact you and plan/provide marketing material for your exhibit. Dates requested are not guaranteed, you will be contacted to discuss scheduling.
